Invalid Format - Fixed!

I bought a new computer and got it all set up with an HDMI cable to an Olevia 226-T12 TV as a monitor. Downloaded my game, and went to open it... only, once it opened, my TV went black with an error stating "Invalid Format". 

I did some research and determined that the error most likely had to do with the resolution between my TV and the computer.... I tried every single resolution I had available to fix it - but nothing worked.

So I contacted EA support. 

The person I spoke with suggested I post in the forum for help on fixing the problem because he or she wasn't able to give me any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Really? That's it? "Go post in the forum and wait for someone to respond." So I decided to step away for a bit and come back later, hopefully with a better idea on how to fix it than just "asking the forum".

Today, I tried hooking up my computer to a different monitor and opening the game to see if it would open. It did! Once open, I changed the resolution in the options of the game to the same resolution I have on the Olevia TV (1360x768). Saved the settings and closed the game, turned off the computer, and re-hooked the computer up to the Olevia TV that I regularly use as a monitor - opened the game, and voila! It works!

I'm not posting to ask for help. At this point, I'm posting so that someone else who may have this problem can see how to fix it without being told to "go post in the forum" by technical support (grrrr - can you tell this annoyed me?).
