@katelynwstxoxo Relatively speaking, Sims 3 is more demanding of the GPU than the CPU. But it's not particularly demanding for either component by the standards of modern gaming computers. A GTX 1050 ti and a high-end CPU from a decade ago can handle ultra graphics settings. So I'd say if you're getting a new-ish gaming PC, you're probably fine. But feel free to list its specs or link a product page if you'd like me to take a look.
One thing you'll need to do is manually limit the in-game framerates for Sims 3. The game doesn't have its own fps limiter, and your GPU will overwork itself unnecessarily without a cap on fps. Once you have the computer, feel free to ask for help with this process.

As I said, Sims 3 is more GPU intensive, relatively speaking, but also not particularly demanding on a modern gaming processor or graphics card.
