Is there any way to place cars on community lots

Hello,

I am building a firehouse, and I am trying to place a car (red truck) in addition to the large fire truck on the lot. The lot is labelled as "Fire House", so its a community lot, but I don't know how to place cars. I have looked through buydebug, but dont see any cars either.  The only cars I can play are the free prius set I got from the Sims store. Similar thing has happened to me when building my nightclubs.

Also I do not want to use any mods.

Any help is appreciated !

    This also applies to stoves.

The only real way around this is a mod from Buzzler that deals with Build/Buy restrictions and is hosted on ModTheSims.  It's very reliable, and you could remove it when you were done.  The items should stay until you tried to change the lot type, which you would of course know not to do.

For the firefighter coat, please see this discussion:

If you really don't want to use mods, or play a sim through the firefighter career, one other option is to place one of these lots from the Exchange and edit it to your liking, even rebuilding it from the ground up.  The items would already be there for you to place wherever you wanted.

Also where can I find firefighters jackets? And how to put a stove on a community lot? Again, I dont want any mods, but I just downloaded someones firehouse off the exchange and they had all of these items as a no-cc build.

    Hello!

Thanks for the information. Yeah I don't like mods not because I think theyre sus, but because I'm not that tech savvy so I'm always scared of ruining my game lolol

I found a lot with a stove and the coats, and it looks so cool but I already spent 3 days building my firehouse so I don't want to restart😩

Thanks for the help though, I think this is something I just need to give up on.
Do you know how the default firehouse in the game is able to have a red truck and a red sedan on the lot? I definitely shouldve built my house on that lot so I could've kept the cars! Thanks tho, it feels better to have a definitive answer why. I was typing bb.movehiddenobjects confused why that didnt work, forgetting its for sims 4 !!

  • Spycoo16  I'm sure the Sims 3 devs had access to a variety of tools to edit their lots and worlds that go beyond what's built into the game.  So they could probably place whatever they wanted wherever they wanted without needing to go out of their way.

If you want to learn how to use mods, even ones you'll remove later, feel free to ask.  It's not overly complicated and won't break your game if done properly.  And I would never recommend a mod that has any known game-breaking or even save-corrupting issues.
