Before you move to a different town, it warns you that once you move, all relationships from old town wont exist. Then it asks whether or not you still want to move towns.
So I don't think that could be a bug if that's what EA meant to do. I mean, at least they give a warning ahead of time lol.
What Crin said. :) I moved Agnes in with her sister Cornelia in Sunset Valley before using the new Move to a New Town interaction, and when they arrived in the new town (Dragon Valley), they were no longer sisters. Super easy fix if you use MC, but if I was against using mods, I would not be happy, lol
