Hi
I am not sure what is going on with the error message you are seeing but it does sound as though there are some problems with your installation. I know it is a nuisance and time-consuming but I think you may need to completely uninstall and reinstall.
When you uninstall TS3 games on your Mac using the "uninstaller", the game leaves behind stray files and isn't completely removed from your computer. These files may conflict with future installations. It is best to completely remove them. BluebellFlora's website provides a guide on how to do this:

After cleanly uninstalling, install the base game and patch it up to date. If you cannot update via the Launcher, download and apply the latest cumulative manual patch (called the superpatch) for Mac.
Check that your game works properly. Then install any EPs and SPs that you own, in order of release date.

I installed up to generations, but Supernatural will not install at all. Very strange, all works up to generations. All checks out even Dragon Valley. So it must be the disc. Wish there was a way to check it, and not have to buy another Superntrual EP. It shows in download App Sims 3 folder with the rest of the EP's, but just goes Gen EP. will open launcher no problem. ????? It does have some ware on it cause it's the last EP I used the most.
- Anonymous12 years agoIt could be that your Supernatural disc is damaged. If you can get that EP to install then you could play by bypassing the launcher in order to avoid further wear on the DVD. If you can't get it installed then you may wish to consider registering your game codes with Origin and trying digital downloads.

Great idea of getting a digital copy. I tried, Orgin is about as helpful as hemeroids, after spending 20 minutes verifing e mail type
ing code about a doz times.
- Anonymous12 years agoYes Origin is not always a barrel of laughs but it should work and then your disc woes are over. Here are some tips.
The first thing to check is that your Mac is sufficiently up-to-date to be able to run the Origin client. It requires at least OS X 10.6.8 with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better.
To download and install games through Origin:
First install the Origin client for Mac and make sure it is up-to-date. The latest version can be downloaded from here: http://www.dm.origin.com/mac/download
Additional advice on how to download games (thank you Tremayne for this tip):
When downloading from Origin, do NOT use the first install icon. Move your cursor over the game cover and click on the information "i" and then click on the install button from there.
For some reason, downloads from Origin frequently become corrupted. Using the "i" reduces the chance of your download being corrupted. If you have already been unfortunate and have a corrupted download, then it is important to remove all traces of this before trying again, by doing a thorough, clean uninstallation first. - Anonymous12 years ago
JUST WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN ME. I am now in the process of downloading a digital copy. I had one last corrupt file in the game. Was able to locate it and remove it. I didn't know Origin had a copy of my games. Funny thing, the Sims My Page dose not show Supernatural on the list of game, and if I try to register it again it won't work. Which is why I am surprised it's in the Origin Library?? I hope it's not a problem. It used to be on the game list.
It downloaded and won't open Supernatural goes back to Generations. Opens launcher just fine. So I am stumped again. On bottom of Launcher game dose not show up at all and neither dose Late night? Opened game went to Dragon Valley and Bridgeport from Late night is in game. But no Superntural.😕mileyfrustrated:
