@graceymanors ErrorTrap waits in the background until it's needed. It will occasionally send a notification when it's found and corrected an error, but there's no reason for you to control it manually. MasterController has options to reset an object or an entire lot—click on the ground to bring up the menu.
When you tried the clean folder test, did you use your existing family or start a new save? Your current household may have some issue that hasn't been fixed yet, and a clean folder might not have removed it. That's where MC resets can help, as well as perhaps bulldozing the lot and replacing it.
If the problem exists even in a brand new world in a clean folder, then maybe your only options are to repair the game in Origin or uninstall and reinstall completely. Since reinstalling is so much work, I'd still test out a few stove/counter combinations in a new save first, just to make sure you can't get rid of the problem. It also might be helpful to ask again over at the forums. I saw your original thread and the lack of solutions it generated, but perhaps someone will have more to offer this time around.
So I went in, reset each counter, table, chair, fridge and each household member with master controller.Didn't work.
Reset the entire lot with MC - didn't work.
Bulldozed the lot and replaced the house - didn't work.
Moved into a new house- didn't work.

@graceymanors You could still try repairing the game in Origin. But honestly, other than completely uninstalling and reinstalling the program files, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry I can't offer anything else.
- graceymanors8 years agoLegendThanks! That's what I'm trying now, trying the repair first, cause uninstalling is a lot of work lol.
Thank you for all the suggestions =)- graceymanors8 years agoLegendEven uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work.
