I am mainly a forum lurker, but I must today, take the time to thank you, amjoie, for your very, very helpful and informative post.
I haven't decided if I'll buy Sims4, but I may, instead, do a complete restart of Sims3, with a fresh, clean 'My Docs' folder, re-download store content and start a whole new adventure with all new sims.
