I've got the cheat code and I tried it on my new game and it seemed ok for about two game days and it mainly froze during the night
Not sure what else to suggest.
You might wanna open a thread over at thesims3.com and see if other people can help you out. We pretty much exhausted all I got and maybe a new person has fresh ideas.
