Lags & Invisible, Frozen & Stuck Sims --> Post here if you have the issue.

I tried without a mod first and they just kept coming and coming, waving and screaming. I then put in Overwatch and soon one after the other left. I then reset the whole lot (with MC but resetsim * would do the same) and let the game run for about half a day. No one came back. I can't tell you if the invisible ones turned visible after that but I can check that as well.
