Hi,
I‘ve had the same problem for 6 months now and nothing helps. I can log in normally on Origin and on the sims 3 page but as soon as I want to log in to the launcher it doesn‘t work. It says the exactly the same as with you. I certainly contacted EA more than 10 times and talked to so many employees and no one can help me or apparently no one understands the problem. I tried everything… completely deleted the game and reinstalled it. The same was done with Origin. Cache and cookies deleted, the history deleted. The game updated, it repaired via origin. But all unsuccessful. Please tell me there is a solution to the problem…

@missmaryjane12 Please go into Applications > Utilities, open Keychain Access, search for sims , and delete anything with sims3 in its name. Then try again to login. This clears stored login info for the game, and it's the equivalent of clearing the cache for your system data, so do it as often as you want.
You may also need to delete the file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads labeled [your email].bin, even if you have already.
