Hello! I have a mac too, and I am having the same problem! It was my twin toddler's birthday, so I bought two cakes and set them on the dining room table. I aged up Abigail using the cake and was moving on to Alaska but that's when it happened. I clicked on the cake with the mom, selected "Blow Out Candles" and selected Alaska to age up. She blew out the candles- nothing. I tried again. Nothing. At this point I made the dad drive to the grocer's and buy a new cake. I blew out the cake again- didn't work! I tried to use the "Trigger Age Transition" cheat, but to no avail. I reset her twice.. Still didn't work! She is using cc, and we live in a Sims Resource house in Sunset Valley. But after I did Trigger Age Transition for the last time and clicked on the doors to the room she was in to lock them, something crazy happened. My headphones repeated something in a robotic voice that sounded like 'Setting'.. What? The game then said to debug something and I clicked debug. Um.. help?
