[MAC] Sims 3 Toddler won't grow up using cake or cheats.

My toddler isn't growing up, they know how to walk, talk, use the bathroom and such.

When I click on the cake their name DOES appear, unlike the problem that I've read about else where, but when I click on it, they blow the candles out, get put on the floor, and then nothing, they just go back to playing, or get picked up.

I've also tried the 'testingcheatsenabled' cheat, but it just zooms into them, and then nothing happens.

The toddler has a twin who already became a child. I was thinking maybe the problem was because as a toddler, the parents had the want for both children to 'grow up well', but I deleted the want for the one child (The one who won't grow up) to 'grow up well' on both parents because I had to make room for another want.

I don't have 'Aging off' either by the way.

Any help would be very appreciated! And thank you for your time in advance!

I play on a mac, if that helps anything.

    Hmm... Well, I can't seem to get it to work, I tried making a backup and such. I'll just see what happens as I continue playing.

    I FIGURED IT OUT!

    So basically, I had believed that if you had a toddler sim that won't age up, it was a bug that was un-fixable and you had to delete the child before the bug spread. But I discovered that there is another way.

    My girl toddler sim wouldn't age up, so I sorrowfully deleted her. Later on, I felt bad that there wasn't any memories of her in the house. So, I closed down the game without saving, to when she was alive. I made a bunch of paintings of her before her birthday and put them in the house. And when her birthday came, I double checked to see if she still wouldn't age up. But guess what? SHE DID! The virus was gone just by simply CLOSING DOWN THE GAME WITHOUT SAVING!

    Now, I don't know if the amount of time before her birthday you have to go back counts or not, but It was around a week that I had gone back in time.

    Hopefully this will help you with further problems!

    *Remember, if you save after you have celebrated her birthday, you will have to delete her!!
