[MAC] Why am I having trouble downloading, installing, or launching Island Paradise on Mac?

• Are you opted into the Origin Beta? Yes/No: (Origin menu > Application Settings > Origin Beta Participation) Not sure, if you mean do I have the origin client downloaded then yes.
• OS X version:   (How to find your OS version) 10.7.5
• Processor, Memory and Graphics card information: (Follow Step #1 through Step #3 to find this information)
  
  Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
  Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
  Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

• Expansions you have/have active: Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime(collectors edition)
• Any error message received: None in this case. (I have previously with other problems and my game often crashes after a while saying to debug the problem or something)
• A detailed description of what is occurring: After loads of trouble buying it and finally downloading the digital version of Island Paradise (limited edition) I 100% downloaded it, then fully installed it following all of the steps. But when I pressed play from the origin client launcher, my sims3 launcher was opened with all of my other expansion packs highlighted as normal (the bubbles at the bottom) but island paradise wasnt highlighted. This has happened to me before and the game isnt downloaded so I knew not to bother trying to play the game. I spoke to an EA advisor and he told me to try uninstalling origin at first and then reinstalling it to see if installing the game was an option but again it just said play. So then we did the same with island paradise (uninstalling the game and all of its files although some of the files he said I had to delete, I couldn't find) but searched in finder island paradise and nothing came up so I assumed all traces of the game were gone. But when I opened origin client again hoping for an install option, again it just said play. It feels like if the bubble isnt highligted then the game isn't installing properly? The EA Advisor said the problem should be fixed in a few days but for me to put my case here.
