[MAC] Will not let me move my sims into lot on Dragon Valley.

  After I finally got Dragon Valley installed properly, I created a household which took me a hour. It was getting late so I saved it and turned it off. When I came back and tried to move the househould into a lot, the messages says something like "Feel free to take a look at other lots or start the game." I start the game and waited. Nothing happens. It isn't frozen. I can access edit mode. When I do and go back, I have to choose a lot again. I tried empty lots and filled lots. I tried to a new Dragon Valley. It is still not working. My updates is up to date and my system is above requirements. I have a Mac if that makes a difference. Please help!
