macOS menu bar does not hide while playing fullscreen
Hi. So my menu bar does not hide while playing this game. The window decoration also doesn't hide but that can be fixed with the command + enter, but the menu bar always remains on top for some reason. Even the macOS Sonoma game mode feature turns on and that mode acknowledges that the game is fullscreen, but it's actually not. The menu bar just remains there. Things I've tried so far to fix it but none worked:
- Changing between fullscreen and windowed while the game is open
- Changing resolutions
- Launching windowed first and then switching to fullscreen
- Uninstall and reinstall EA App completely, including deleting its cache files, plist files etc.
- Uninstall and reinstall TS3 completely.
- Delete options.ini
- Delete the entire TS3 folder under Documents
- Changing the "Automatically hide and show menu bar" option from System Settings app. Setting it to Always hides the menu bar while I am not focused on the game, but when I focus back the menu bar comes back.
- Booting in safe mode and opening the game from there.
This issue also happens on TS4, and doesn't fix itself if I don't do anything, but entering settings in TS4 fixes this problem automatically without clicking anything. For TS3, I've tried all of the above and yet the menu bar persistently remains on top. Is there any way to fix this because there are some text in the game that I just can't read that appears there, and some buttons are really hard to click.
OS: macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
System: MacBook Air M1
So I have no idea why this is related at all, but turning on "Displays have separate Spaces" setting in the macOS settings app fixed this issue. I am keeping this here in case other people comes across this thing as well.
