"Connection to server has been lost"

I just bought Midnight Hollow to download and play and for some reason it wont let me log in on the launcher to download my new world. Anyone else having issues?

Tried restarting, repairing EA and the Sims 3 apps, tried clearing all caches in the Sims 3 folder, tried clearing cache in Edge, tried logging in through the settings... I've been at it for 2 hours. Please help.

  • montaymontay​  You shouldn't need to login to the launcher in order to install your Store content.  What happens if you don't, if you simply load the Store site and attempt to download your items?

    Having said that, there was recently an issue with the Store login that also affected the launcher, so you may be seeing the tail end of that.  It's resolved for most people but perhaps not everyone.

  • I just had this issue and fixed it.   What I did was uninstall all my EA App games (just me being thorough) but specifically Sims 3.  I, also, uninstalled the EA App.  Then, out of absolute paranoia that there was a lingering issue, I went ahead and made sure the EA Games and EA App folders were deleted on my computer.  Then, restarted my computer.  Downloaded the app again, then Sims 3.  Can't recall if I went ahead and repaired the games to be thorough. BUT, that worked.
