Missing books
All of my books are missing. Skill books, all books and there are no books in the book store. I took out all mods and cc and started the game with the same results. I can't play without books because...

I did what you said. I can play my family again but still no books. I'm frustrated. I don't know what to do. I just hope a patch comes soon and it brings back my books. I've noticed my sims won't write books either. Very frustrating. Thanks for your help.
Does it also happen on new games or just an existing one ?

@RahafDalloul Did you try the clean folder test as linked above by crinrict? Here's the link again:

If the clean folder works, it's possible that the old one is corrupt, or that you have an outdated mod or some bad cc that's blocking access to your books. It's always good to make sure that if you're adding any third-party content to your game, it's up to date and well-made, but there's never any guarantee that it will work as intended.
