@J00J_11 It sounds like your save is somewhat corrupted. Whether you can fix it will depend on the level of corruption; mods can help, but there's no guarantee they'll work either.
The first step is to delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 game folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. They should be deleted regularly anyway, as they tend to fill up with stale data (and corrupt data, if your save is having issues like these). While you're troubleshooting, delete them every time you quit the game. For reference, the files are:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
Load your game, evict your household, and save a copy to the bin. If you want to keep their house too, save it separately, as an empty lot. This is just in case the save can't be recovered: at least you'll be able to place your sims in a new world and keep playing them.
Without mods, the most thorough reset is to evict your sims in Edit Town, save the house to the library (if you haven't already), bulldoze the lot, place the house again, and move the sims back in. If you do all of this in one Edit Town session, without replacing the household with its bin copy, the sims will keep their jobs and relationships but lose their promised wishes and opportunities.
After they're moved back in, go to live mode and use "Save As" to rename the save, so the earlier save is preserved as a backup in case something else goes wrong down the line. Then quit to desktop, delete the cache files again, and reload. Let me know whether the save plays any better.
By the way, it's not a good idea to exit to the Main Menu and reload. The game has an issue where not all the data is released from RAM, so going right back into a save means that data comes with you. It's much more likely to cause problems when you're changing saves—you can see all sorts of weird things happen, like the ghosts from the previous town's cemetary living at the junkyard in the new town. But it's still best to clear everything by quitting entirely before reloading the save.
