My game crashes sporadically

I stopped playing the game 6 months ago because the same problem occurred. I tried to solve it back then, but I couldn't and quit the game. This time, I got a new computer and started playing the game again. The specifications are not much different from the last computer.

Then game ran without any problems for about 2 weeks. I use all the packs and the essential mods from NRAAS. Other gameplay modes and CC are also used. Approximately, Store World, etc. is 3.2 GB, and other CC and modes are 1.7 GB. Script mode, etc. have not been changed since I first played the game. Other CC are compressed and used with CC Magic. I think my computer specs are not bad either.

There is no way to guess when or why it crashes. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with time, whether it's 5 minutes or 30 minutes after start playing. I always played by clearing the cache and keeping an eye on resources in task manager.  According to Task Manager, memory commit is on average 2.3GB and GPU memory is being used at about 20-30%.

I searched numerous web pages to find a solution. I reinstalled DirectX 9, graphics driver, EA app and game. The problem wasn't resolved, so I reinstalled Windows, but nothing changed. Looking at the dxdiag log, it says that d3d9 overlay is not supported. Is this a problem? If this is a problem, what is the solution? Or maybe it's a different problem? I tried my best to find a way, but I'm not very computer savvy so I don't know anymore. Please help me.

    chainful  Most of the crashes in your dxdiag are from elements of the Nvidia graphics driver, so please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver.  Here's how:

    When you reinstall the driver, choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and do NOT install GeForce Experience, at least not for now.  Its overlay may or may not be a problem, but you don't need it for Sims 3 and can test without it for now.

    Sims 3 requires DirectX 9, but if DX9 weren't installed or were corrupt, the game wouldn't open at all.  And the Sims 3 errors in your dxdiag are too generic to be of use by themselves.

    What world(s) are you playing in right now?  You said there's no pattern to the crashes, but do you get any scripterrors before the crashes that might be useful here?  The ones that happen as soon as the save loads are usually not relevant, just reports of ErrorTrap doing its job.  But if you see repeated errors in the run of play, and especially just before the crashing, that would be of interest.

    Thank you for the detailed answer. The crash has no error message. As I wrote, it crashes to the desktop mid-play, whether it's 5 minutes or 20 minutes. The error trap error message was just a general error check. It was even more frustrating because I did not use mods known to conflict with the NRAAS mode - smooth patch, KW, etc. The world I played in was sunset valley.  

    As you recommended, I used the program to uninstall the graphics driver and then reinstall it. Just to be sure, I also reinstalled the ea app and game.               I played Sunset Valley without reinstalling Store CC or World, but with only the mod folder. I was able to play without interruption for about 2 hours. Thank goodness. The reason I didn't download Store CC was because before the crash, there was an error where the dccache file couldn't be loaded for no reason. Even though it was downloaded from ea home. I didn't think it was a big problem because it was loaded after reinstalling the EA app.

    Now I plan to install Store CC and playtest again. I'm hoping the error doesn't happen again. Thank you again for your reply. have a good day.
