The free vacation is pretty bugged and so you're game did get corrupted.
I assume you don't have a backup from before you sent them ?

Thank you for the link. I figured that would be the only option, i'm going to wait until the adults that had the challenge to pass on and maybe then it'll let me since they are the only ones with the greyed out box. wishful thinking but we'll see lol, i really don't want to stop my legacy. 5 generations is the longest i've had
Not sure if you are still having this issue but I had the same thing come up. If you switch the active household and then switch back - you should be able to enroll.
