My Sim won't change to a fairy!!!! :( :(

I originally had my sim a werewolf, but I wanted her to be a fairy so I used the cheat code to edit her in create a sim, and I changed the supernatural type, and I customized the wings, and it showed up in create a sim, but when I returned to my game, she was still a werewolf and interacted like a werewolf. HELP?!?!?!?!
