My sims 3 doesn't start when i hit start button in launcher.

Helo,   Today i downloaded and reinstalled Sims 3 and all expansions ( that used to be DVD-versions) via origin and added 2 digital versions that i bought online. After installing everything i star...

    Ok so i uninstalled bitdefender and sims worked, i reinstalled bitdefender, same problem happened, sims didn't start again.

    So how did i fix this:

    - open bitdefender 

    - go to settings

    - open the option antivirus

    - go to the tab 'Shield'

    - you will see active virus management and to the right of that you will see on/off. Put that off and problem solved.

    Thx for the help i couldend have done this myself.

That's a good question. I would think that as long as you don't use the internet while playing the game, you should be ok. I would turn off Origin after the initial start (you can do that as soon as the game is running).

I don't think you'll get a virus through the game itself.

I would be very grateful if you could write down exactly what you did to get it running. Were did you find the setting to turn off ? Step-by-step instructions would be awesome. I don't have bitDefender myself so that would be a great help to others.

    I've accepted a solution for this thread. Please feel free to revoke it (options - not the solution) if you have further issues.

    Also will be using your solution (with credits) if others have this. Hope that is ok.
