My Sims 3 Late Night is not being recognized right after i bought it

:robotmad:i just got sims 3 starter pck today and was playing the late nihgt pack for a while then it froze. when i went to go play the high end loft pack it said the only way i could play was by inserting the late night pack but when i put the late night pack in it said " we are unable to verify that your disc is a valid copy of The Sims 3 Late Night. Please contact customer service." what is wrong with my sims discs?

    Is the disc dirty? Do you ANY disc emulation software installed (it does not have to be running). EA uses a copyguard I believe it's called SafeDisc. The data is written to the disc in a way it can not be duplicated and some optical drives have trouble reading this data (expecially if the disc is scatched and/or dirty). Does the disc work in another computer? If you find the drive is the problem you can uninstall the disc version and get the digital download version from Origin (free).
