My sims are no longer married? (and other glitches...)
So I'm in my third generation in my legacy, utterly problem free, until one of my sims aged from YA to adult. She was in the medical career, had a happy (full relationship bar) marriage with her husband, and would soon be getting pregnant with twins. Things seemed fine until she completed her LTW (medical career), when her LTW box, instead of becoming plated in silver (how it looks when you fulfill your LTW), it just disappeared. It looks like a child's who hasn't chosen theirs yet, except when you hover over it, no info shows up. One of the problems that I thought I had was that I downloaded some bad CC,which also caused the game to crash all the time. I downloaded two houses from the exchange, on of which had some weird build and buy mode CC. I recently went through and deleted all of the CC I had, which, before the two houses, was nothing but store content. This seems to have cleared up the crashing/slowness problem, but nothing else.
The game also seems to think the happy couple is no longer married. Sometime around her aging up, I noticed her, her husband, and other family members were rolling wants for her or her husband to get married. This confused me, but I didn't pay much attention to it because when I looked at the relationship tab, they still showed as married. I later noticed that people my couple were once close with were now in the red, or 'disliked' zone(i.e. her mother, kids-as soon as they were born- and butler). I didn't realize that those two were connected until after my sim had had her twins. They had finished tending to their needs in the nursery, when I queued them up for some shower woohoo. They were in the pre-kissing stage when a red sign came up in the corner, saying my sims were caught cheating. Now my twins hate their parents, literally, and all four of them have negative moodlets related to cheating. Yet still, the couple has their 'faithful' moodlets.
I currently have all of the EPs and SPs, other than Town Life and HELS. My game is totally updated as well. I've closed and restarted both my game and my computer multiple times. What could be the problem? I feel like the only way to deal with this is get rid of the husband or wife, and slowly regain their relationships with everyone.
note: this is the only game it happens in, and the only couple it has happened to. I went in and checked all of my other current games, and none of them have a problem.
