new EA app uninstalled Origin
Last night I played and saved The Sims 3 with NO problem. I have Ambitions ,Late Night , Showtime , and Seasons extension packs also. After I closed Origin, prompted me to download the new EA app...

@puzzlezaddict I'm sorry, now I'm really confused. I just logged in on the EA app to play TS3 a minute ago & it said I needed to be logged into Origin to play this. I went to Origin and it says I need to be online to sign in. I was online...so if I was able to play yesterday seems like it should play today. I don't know what to do. Again I need help....
@indycutie Is your computer online overall? If not, or if it can't connect to EA servers, that could explain the issue. Your Sims 3 install might still be looking for Origin, and when you're online and able to connect, your computer gets redirected to the EA App. But when you're offline, the process might not work. I'm not actually sure since I generally use my Steam install, but I do know that the EA App doesn't work properly in offline mode at the moment.
A few other questions: When you sign into the EA App, are you trying to open Sims 3 from your game library, or do you use the game's desktop shortcut, and does using the other one instead work better? Does it help to double-click Sims 3's desktop when neither Origin nor the EA App is running? Ideally, one of the apps would open and ask you to sign in, and when you did, the game would load, but that's never worked consistently in Origin and might not work all the time for the EA App either.
- @puzzlezaddict Thanks for the quick reply. I shut down and restarted my computer. Then I double clicked on the Sims 3 desktop icon. It loaded and played. So I guess I'll have to try different ways to open the game. Fingers are crossed... lol😀
- @indycutie Also when I went that way it didn't ask me to sign in to Origin, it went directly to the game launcher

- @puzzlezaddict Well here I go again....this time none of the desktop apps are loading today. This seems to want to do what it wants to do. When I played last nite it was fine. Now today nothing is working. What else is there to do. Just wait until these apps decide to load and let me play... Lol. I'm used to playing for a while everyday. This is frustrating. Not the EA app, Origin, or the Sims3 apps on my desktop are opening😥
