No it's not fun to play with a broken game, that's exactly what I meant. I will be playing sims, just not University Life, until there's an update. I'm sure there will been an update very soon. That's just my choice. Anyone who really wants to play, should take out the fixes. It's really seems to be the only option right now.

From what I hear, the Store fixes are updated :)

I also have this issue. I don't have any of the StoreFix mods so that's definitely not it, unfortunately Sims 3 loads so slowly trial and error would be very time consuming.

okay ive found a solution to the no class schedual issue. Its a sims 3 store content issue. I dont think it matters if its paid for or downloaded from a third party site. I did a little research and decided to try something. I removed all sims 3 store content package files from my mods folder. Then i went into game, dropped my sim out of university and then re-applied. once she got in a schedule was there. The sims 3 store content for some reason is not yet compatible with this expansion and therefore explains why even vanilla players are having this issue. Delete anything in your mods folder that is either a mod or downloaded store content and re apply for university. its working for a lot of ppl. good luck!

UPDATE: nevermind, its not completely fixed. i have the schedule now and can go to class, but my grade never goes up. very frustrating as i noticed this only after the entire term finished :/

So I think I got it now the mods with storefix on them are causing the problem.
Which would explain why I didn't have any problem with my game saved prior to installing Uni.
And about the store bought things creating a problem, I buy a lot from the store & don't have a problem, so does anyone know if its one particular store bought item ?

Hope I don't insult you by this, but have you checked your computer thoroughly to make sure it meets the specs needed to play the game ?
A slow sluggish game sounds like the system is straining. At least to me.
Additionally you might want to look into creating a clean game as a way of troubleshooting & see what you find out if you can get it to work a little bit.

I had this problem but removing the store fixes took care of it. Make sure you look in your 'Overrides' folder AND the 'packages' folder. I had fixes in both of them.

Hmm, a couple people have mentioned that moving mods out, starting the game and saving, and then moving mods back in works. I know that's the first thing I tried (and deleted the caches, restarted etc.) and it definitely did not work. Reintroducing my mods brought the bug back in.

But because this seems to work for some, it might be worth trying.

And I know the progress bar isn't supposed to shut off, unless you're talking between terms. After taking finals, and before classes start on Monday, you don't have progress bar because school isn't actually in session. If it's missing at any other time, than it's a glitch. Resetsim seems to work.

I am experiencing the same problem with the german version of the game which came out today. I could not send my sims home as well. How anoying. I did not save my gave before I sent my sims off - does that mean I'll have to start a new game with new family and abandon my old one?

Ok, I removed the Mods folder as such - the frameword of folders as well as the content (the latter was earlier removed).
Then I had to delete the corrupted savegame. :cry: However it allows me to play with an early savegame where no sim ever travelled. I think that's it. After the sims have travelled it is corrupted - even if you tool Twallans Traveller Mod out before installing University.
