No registration code in a used copy of The Sims 3
I recently got a used copy of The Sims 3, and there is no manual or white piece is paper with the registration code on it. I tried looking at the Registry Editor on my laptop, with regedit and whatnot, and I found the right file. But where it says data, there is no number or anything. I found my registration code for The Sims 1 there, but not The Sims 3. I don't know what to do now.

Sorry to hear you didn't get a code with this copy of Sims 3. Unfortunately, if this was a used copy, even if they'd included the code it would not be usable. Each code can only be claimed a single time, and once claimed that can't be transferred to another person's account.
In this case it would be best to reach back out to wherever that was purchased as they'd need to look into whatever other options may be available regarding a replacement or refund. We have a bit more information about these situations below as well, thanks!
