I have an integrated sound card, but my husband forced Realtek onto my machine and so the drivers are up to date. We've tried two sets of speakers, no luck. Both sets of speakers were/are set up correctly and sound tested. We even tried headphones in case this was a channel issue.
My singer starts out fine but by level 2 I can no longer hear her or her music machine.
I can hear Juke boxes but not Karoake machines or singing on them.
Can not hear sing o grams or even just a singer singing songs.
I have this issue with our without CC.
I have this issue after resetting the world and everything in it.
I spend about an hour in CS chat with no help to the solution given.
Thank you so much for providing such detailed information. I use the exact same driver that you currently have installed, and my game is not affected by the 'no sound bug'. I was able to recreate the sound issue on another computer by installing stock audio drivers from 2009, but I was also able to resolve the issue through a driver update.
The no sound bug is quickly becoming extremely frustrating, as there is no apparent pattern as to why some people have the issue, while others do not, and why for some people a driver update resolves the issue, while for others it does not. Also completely inconsistent, the sound that people can and cannot hear. Everyone seems to have a different combination of sound issues. Some hear jukeboxes, while some cannot hear them, and some hear karaoke music but not singing, while others can hear neither.
Unfortunately, at the moment I have no other suggestions that I can provide outside of double checking your in-game audio settings and making sure that your have your audio quality on 'high' and the proper speaker setup for your specific audio configuration.
I am continuing to investigate the matter, and will call EA this weekend to open a case and request a case escalation. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help, as you have already worked so hard to resolve your sound issue (audio test and everything), but if think of something else for you to try, I will post here letting you know. :)
Hi, thank you so much for looking at my stuff. And just for being so kind to help us all in general.
I've tried my in game sound options on all the settings and still the issue prevails.
I've also come to realize that the issue is effecting my DJ Booth too. I'd not even tried that before because we were too busy running tests on other things.
If EA does get in touch through Email as I was told they would, I'll post results here.
It may take a village to get this issue fixed. LOL
It would be nice to have a Guru would let us know that they are seeing we have this issue and if they will provide a work around / patch at some point.
