I was able to download the Sims 3 starter pack after I subscribed to EA play. However, when I try to download expansion or stuff packs, I only have the option to buy it despite the fact that it is supposed to come with EA play. I have tried a couple of expansion packs and they all have the same bug.
@toniemx Thanks for checking. It does look like a check the wrong box kind of error, but we'll hopefully hear from EA about it soon.
@ceej12k I've merged your post with the master thread on this issue. It does seem like the error is that the packs are listed as part of EA Play at all, not that they can't be added, but we'll need to wait to hear from EA to be sure.
