Hello, Given the number of posts in the main thread, I kinda want to get an idea if anyone has been able to successfully get a copy of The Sims 3 to work on their computer. So far, I haven't seen any reports of this happening, but given how many posts are happening in the main thread, I want to see if anyone has a working copy that they have been able to get working. If so: 1. Was it always working or did you have to take steps to get it to work? What steps did you need to take? 2. What are your system specifications? If you don't know what this means, go to the Apple menu on the upper left hand corner and copy the details down exactly, except for the serial number (that won't be helpful). It's working for me. It. may be related to entitlement. We just need to be patient and wait for the game rolls out to everyone.My Specs:And Screenshot of my game:I will try to load my old saves and I'll be back with more updates.

What steps did you need to take?no although i was lucky enough to have it in my library unlike others ! i got the same install error that everyone else got however i ALSO had the issue that 3 of my packs (out of 5) were not allowing me to download, only showed a "details button". I contacted EA Help and last night they got 2/3 to work but I'm still having issues with pets for some reason? however i was able to download (yet not play) the other 2 last night. I was told to try to contact today to resolve the pets expansion issue - during which the late night and design & high tech stuff (neither of which i had registered on origin) started downloading. After that I was told to see if the error was gone, and despite my skepticism it was !! incredible !! and after installing all my other packs still no error!!2. What are your system specifications? I clicked on the game in Origin (I only own the base game) and scrolled to “Expansion Packs” and clicked on the free ones, late night expansion pack and another one. then they started downloading, in 5 minutes it was already done, i just clicked on the game and it opened…!

Only respond to this thread if you have the 64-bit version of TS3 working.

EA Customer Support added entitlement for me → Game appears in library → Runs fine from the beginning (except for a segfault 11 in the launching sequence, but the game itself didn't segfault)

HELLO! I got the Sims 3 64-bit version working on my mac!
An EA employee just added it to my gallery after I asked for it.
I clicked on the game in Origin (I only own the base game) and scrolled to “Expansion Packs” and clicked on the free ones, late night expansion pack and another one. then they started downloading, in 5 minutes it was already done, i just clicked on the game and it opened…!

1) Got 64bit added to my library via Help Chat & installed
2) Got a failure to launch (didn't even get to the launch screen)
3) Uninstalled and deleted all files from 32bit version
4) Reinstalled
5) And there was much rejoicing
(Still can't get old worlds to download, but that's a low-priority workshop.)

@realfabiomello Did you get the error initially, or were you one of the people who didn't have the 64-bit game and contacted EA for a copy?

Got the base game working at least (I haven't tried downloading the expansions yet) edit: expansions are all working too
I talked to EA support who re-activated my entitlement and that seems to have fixed it for me I had the entitlement at launch yesterday but the support removed and replaced it. My base game was showing up in origin but none of the expansions were
My support agent suggested starting a new help request if my DLCs don't all show up tonight, it sounds like they have to register each individually?
