os x el capitan and the sims 3[Mac]

I've recently upgraded my mac to OS X El Capitan, and I seem to be having problems with my Sims 3 game. Origin logs on normally, at least to me it seems, and it seems to load the game properly until ...

You can choose to play offline.

Origin didn't work properly on one of the previous betas of El Capitan but it's fine on the actual release.
