That patch is here and there are actually lots of fixes. The manual Patch can be downloaded here: Patch 1.29 (850 MB) I myself will not continue to compile this thread. See page 119 for details....

The collections tab problem is an in game issue. I don't know that it has anything to do with the actual Sims 3 folders. :P so it's back down to just 1 person.
