That patch is here and there are actually lots of fixes. The manual Patch can be downloaded here: Patch 1.29 (850 MB) I myself will not continue to compile this thread. See page 119 for details....

SimsVIP, sorry didn't see your reply before responding. One of them didn't say, he just did a clean install and his game seems to be working now. The other one I've sent over here because I suspect her demo is one of the glitchy ones' that was causing so many problems before. I don't know if she'll post or not, though, so here's hoping.
