kiragrls What I am saying is, if you install Sims 3 and some DLC, and then you uninstall some DLC through Steam but do NOT also delete the registry entries that correspond to that DLC, you will get this error. It's not the only cause, but it is the most obvious one, which is why I'm asking. Using Revo to do a clean uninstall is great, but you can cause the issue again if you do the same thing a second time.
And there are two registry entries per pack, at least in a Steam install.
I'm also saying that one way to fix this particular cause of this error is to reinstall all your DLC. If you don't want to use all the DLC right now, that's fine, but please test anyway.
