Pressing PLAY does nothing, game not starting

There is an official topic somewhere on this, I read thru it and the last posts were from 2013 so I wasn't sure if I should bump it or not, I'm not sure on forum etiquette!

Here is the information I have on my problem, I can go back to that post and do this there if you would wish.

OS- Windows 10
When - not 100% sure, I reset my game and after fixing my graphics, it now will not play.
Version - disk, base game downloaded thru origin, Seasons disk currently being used
Programs open - none except Origin (and right now while checking for solutions Chrome)
Antivirus - McAfee

Firewall - windows probably and McAfee's but it's turned off (to try and see if it was the problem)
Emulators - none
Bypass Launcher - no, that doesn't work, no matter what extension I open it opens the launcher anyway.
Anything else you like to share - I hadn't played since November, so about a week ago I opened my game. It  got stuck on the black screen without ever loading so I assumed a mod was doing something to it. I took out all mods and CC and opened, it still got stuck on the black screen, twice, so I reset the folder. It opened fine but I lost my graphics settings, and spent days trying to get it to read my graphics card in the DeviceConfig. I fixed that issue today(I think, I haven't been able to open and check) and it will not play at all. No black screen, no loading anything at all after clicking play. Origin lets me open the launcher again after about a minute, with the same results. There is nothing in the task manager. I checked my RAM to be sure it wasn't low and my computer said it is fine. I did a clean up of old games and files of other nature that weren't needed.

**EDIT** I followed a couple of steps in the original error post and used the Event Log and got this error -

  • So it runs if you remove the changes that you made to the graphics files but it doesn't if you put them in ?

Sounds to me like the edited files prevent the game from starting.

What issues do you have if you don't edit them ?

  • To be honest I didn't even think about that! I refreshed the sims 3 folder but didn't put the old graphics setting back in the other folders. Even after refreshing the folder the game won't open. But I'll try putting the old graphics rules back in and let you know what happens!
I added my card and edited the texture memory, it was saying 32<OVERRIDE> and I followed a tutorial to fix it. Could that be what did it? I'll check and update this with what happens.

    **EDIT**

I placed the original files in and the game came right up! I placed the files with only my card added, texture untouched, and it's not coming up. So it's something I've done in the file!

I'll need help identifying if anything is wrong, I am horrible at these things.

Current DeviceConfig (from where game launched this morning with original rules and cards list)

Do you have any actual issues running it with the origin files ? What was the reason you edited them in the first place ?
