Problem with horse stuck on houseboat (The sims 3 Island paradise)

I moved my family to a houseboat and afther a while there was a horse that arrived at my boat. I didn't notice exactly when or how, but the horse cant leave the boat and is completely stuck..

I tried making my sims feed it, but it only works sometimes, and I am afraid the horse will die. It seems that I can only do some interactions with the horse at certain random times, other times when I try to interact with it the commands just dissapear and I cant to anything with it. I tried the command to lead the horse(so I could lead it off the houseboat) but then the command dissaperas or the horse doesn't let the sim lead it.

Also ever since the horse got onto the boat the game has been chopping with just seconds in between. I tried moving the houseboat to another dock. Then the chopping dissapeard for a while, but now it is back again. I may have to move again for it to dissapear again, but it is very annoying.

I want to keep the horse and still be able to play normally and get the horse of the boat so I can ride it and play with it normally on shore. Can anyone help me with this?? I read other people having the same problem, but it doesn't seem like there is any solution given.

If it's got a name and it's not a wild horse, then reset it like this:

    • open cheat console (shift, ctrl, c)
    • type in: resetSim firstname surname
    • hit enter

That should reset it and put it to safety

If it's a wild horse, then do the following:

    • open cheat console (shift, ctrl, c)
    • type in: move objects on
    • go to build/buy mode
    • click on the horse and move it to dry land (have your boat docked when you do this)
    • open cheat console
    • type in: move objects off
    • open cheat console
    • type in: testingcheatsenabled true
    • shift-click on the horse and choose reset
    • open cheat console
    • type in: testingcheatsenabled false

That should work - let me know how it goes
