Purchased new game and code gives error "invalid code" when entered to register.

I purchased a new copy of the Sims 3 about a month ago and everytime I try to register it, I get an error telling me that the registration code is invalid.

    You need to contact Customer Support.

    They can be found here: https://help.ea.com/contact-us

    You have the option to contact them by mail, phone or Live Chat. For Live Chat, make sure to choose US as your country.
