Questions about sims 3 Testingcheatsenabled true

So after years of not knowing anything about "testingcheatsenabled true", i found a video on youtube explaining how to use this cheat to unlock gangplanks to create house boats in sunset valley. The video says to also type in "buydebug on" and "moveobjects on" to make it work. Not only did it unlock the gangplank, but it came with a ton of objects that i never seen before. I want to use some of these objects to design on lots, but i want to know can these objects randomly disappear? For example, if i switch households or exit the game and come back on later, will they still be there if i save? If they were to disappear, how could i prevent that from happening or what causes them to disappear if possible? I've also noticed that i cant use the unlocked objects on house lots, is that normal? I am using a mac if that causes any difference to the answers.

    @marandina9711  Being on a Mac doesn't change the underlying questions.  Buydebug items shouldn't disappear when you switch households, although anything's possible.  But since they're just regular objects, I wouldn't expect it to happen.

    Some objects in-game are only supposed to be used on certain kinds of lots, so I think it's normal that you wouldn't be able to use a few of them on residential lots.  Which items can you not use?

    I realized that i am allowed to use the objects on residential lots,  just had to re type in the codes to allow it lol
