Re: Baby taken by social worker

From what I have experienced and learned when I was a beginner in the Sims 3, you cannot get your baby back.

Your baby was most likely taken from you due to letting one of his needs drop down too low.

For example, maybe he was starving, or maybe you weren't letting him go to sleep, etc.

Usually when a baby's needs go down too low, a social worker will be sent to your house to take your baby away from you to prevent further neglect.

When my first household (ever) had a baby, I didn't know how to take care of it, therefore his needs went down low and he was taken away by the social worker. When I looked on the internet to see if there was a way to get my baby back, I found many answers saying that you cannot get it back.

So, to answer your question.

From my knowledge, you cannot get your baby back. Sorry.

  • It is possible to get them back. Press ctrl shift and c and type testingcheatsenabled true. Then type editsim (sims full name) you will be taken to create a sim. Turn the sim into a child. Then invite them over to your house. When they come over, shift click and press "add to active household" you can shift click again afterwatds to change their age back to a toddler (unfortunately you can't turn them back to a baby) hope I helped.

@SarahHickeyWhite  This thread is quite old, so I'll close it here.  For reference though, if your sims have lost the relationship data with another sim, you'll need to cheat or use mods to get it back.  I don't know whether you're playing Sims 3 or 4, but it's true either way.

If you'd like more help with this issue, please create your own thread in this section (Sims 3) or the Sims 4 forum:
