Re: blurry image sims3

@martinesa20009  Thanks for the dxdiag.  The first thing to try is changing your user and system DPI scalings back to 100%.  I understand why you might want it higher, but this is a useful test, and you can undo the change if it doesn't help.  This article describes how to change the settings; you can play with the options to see whether anything helps.

(I'd skip the registry edits though; just use option one or three.)  In settings, along the same path, there's also an option to "let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry," at least that's what it says in English.  Try turning that on, or if it's already on, turn it off.

This is how you can change DPI scaling for just one particular app:

While you're experimenting, set aside your current game folder and test with a clean one in place.  (If you remove the Sims 3 game folder from Documents\Electronic Arts, a new one will spawn the next time you open the game.)  Each time you quit, delete the options.ini file from inside this folder, just to make sure it's not retaining any information from the previous test.

Please try different combinations of settings to see whether any of them work.  Also try changing your in-game resolution, and toggle back and forth between fullscreen and windowed modes, both under Options > Graphics.  Sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to find a setting that works.

@martinesa20009  Yes, the options.ini file is in your game folder; the full path is Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.  If you delete or remove it, a new one will spawn the next time you launch the game.  It won't be changed when you alter the settings on your laptop, just when something changes within the game settings.  That's why it's a good idea to delete it—that way, it's not retaining information relating to your computer's previous settings.
