@Navigrl What happens when you try to install the content? Some errors can be fixed. And let me know whether you want Sims 3 Store content, as in, the items EA made, or Exchange items, as in, uploads from other users. Store content is encrypted, but user content is not, meaning you could download the latter from one account and install it using another.
@puzzlezaddictIt just says I have to register my sims game to my account if I want to download stuff. I don’t know what the serial code is or if I even have one
@Navigrl Are you signing into the Store site with the same email address and password you use to sign into your EA account? The Store should recognize you own the game in that account.
If you're not sure what to do here, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS and how you installed the game (EA App, Origin, disc, Steam, something else). If you installed through the EA App or Origin, please also let me know whether that was with the same account where you recently bought the game, and if so, whether you're also signing into the Store with that account.
- @puzzlezaddict I bought and installed the game through the ea app and my account has the same email as my ea. my computer runs windows. My ea used to use a different email but I changed it to my current email a while ago (the same email I use for my sims account) I don’t know why ea hates my game 😂
@Navigrl Please load the Store site, click My Page, and scroll down a bit to where the page shows what content you own. Please take a screenshot of that. As an example:
That arrow points to the base game, but I'd like to see everything.
Please also post a screenshot of the error message you see when trying to install the content, for reference.
it says that i dont own anything? it forces me to sign in through the ea app with my account so idk why it doesn't know i have sims 3. at this point i kinda give up

Hi @Navigrl,
Have you verified that you're logging into the EA app with the same account details that you had purchased The Sims 3 on? Please review the order history on your EA account and check if you're seeing a transaction there for The Sims 3. If you're not seeing one, or the order history is showing as blank, that means you're logging into a different EA account than the one you had originally purchased the game on.
