Yes that was my first problem. I updated to 1.67.

now that your patched up go to your the sims 3 my store account-purchase downlaod and install the world from there also if when you try to download from the sims 3 site if origin opens up instead which has happened others try these tips (ty crin)
- Start Origin
- Click Play on Origin to start the launcher
- Close Origin (completely not just minimize)
- Click add to game on the exchange or download on Store Stuff.

I have already done all of that. I get it into my downloads in my game launcher and it gets more that half way through the download process then says error check log.

that issue you describe is usually because it's not updated did and even if we hit update please check in the launcher as per the image that it is up dated
your post tells me your at 1.60 the newest is 1.67

I already downloaded the Superpatch. I hovered and it says 1.67.2.024001.

Yes it is very annoying. I have litterally tried everything I can think of. I even tried some of the solutions to the same problem that other people have had. I don't know what else to do.

Are you using a WIFI or a LAN connection?
Make sure that no other programme is blocking the download
- Anonymous11 years agoI'm thinking it's WIFI. I have a Verizon USB that plugs into my laptop for internet. What kind of programs would block it?

anti virus ones like norton,mcafee etc not all them block they just need to be told allow or windows firewall can sometimes block and needs to be told to allow
just throwing this out therecan you connect to a LAN to see if it downloads or local library or a friend's internet
- Anonymous11 years agoWould those programs block the download when it's almost done? This is my only form of internet for my computer. Unless I use the wifi on my iPhone. But it's essentially the same internet.
- Anonymous11 years agoI don't mean to question everything. It's just this is a very large download that takes hours just to get me all excited and then stops when it is almost done. It's sucks up a lot of time And internet. For every little inquiry I can't spend the time, and data, to try the whole thing again.

So I tried it, I turned off my Windows Firewall and the download went off without a hitch. Thank you guys for all of your help!! Thank you again!!
