can someone help me? I downloaded the super patch, i click launch and it gives me this error

Any ideas? I'm trying to update this on a fresh install of windows 8 and a fresh install of sims 3 so i can get the expansions downloaded and installed.
I can't view that picture. Did you set it to private or something ?
is the sims 3 game on steam ? or disks and or origin ? hi crin i got the picture to load after three trys copied the link to here
Its straight from the discs, I could see how that steam popup could be misleading ha.

What's your operating system ? If you are on Windows 7, do you have Service Pack 1 installed ? Also what is your default browser ?
What ? the error or the patch ?
What is your base game version right now ?
Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.
