Re: Is the Sims 3 store still work?

@mathematics654  Yes, the store still works just fine.  I bought something yesterday.  (Sometimes it's necessary to clear your browser caches to get it to work, or to switch to Firefox.)  I believe you're looking for The Boardwalk:

https://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.html?scategoryId=13570&productId=OFB-SIM3:71237&section=UpSell

It's quite pricey right now, but if you can wait a month, it will be offered on the Daily Deal for 969 points instead of 1,900.  Many of the more expensive items are available this way.  Check out the Sims forums threads about the Daily Deal and the cheapest way to own sets if you're interested:

@mathematics654  On the Daily Deal page I listed, the second post has a link to the DD spreadsheet.  Here's the direct link:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NIeS9yIMAw-fA7VhseLilqCOV5XfKoSJXwbyyKQLJP4/edit#gid=882235701

The spreadsheet includes a list of deals in sequential order ("Current Rotation—18th Cycle," which has two cycles listed, and another of items in alphabetical order ("Sort by Item/Set").  The list in sequential order has the date and duration of each sale.  The other link (cheapest way to own compilations etc.) lists each available compilation, set, and venue, along with which deals to use to give you the cheapest price.  The Boardwalk is listed with the other venues in this post:

    Thanks @puzzlezaddict 🙂

apparently that sale happen in the middle of the night for me (UTC+3), so unless the sale will be also in other times of the day, I might need to go with the 1900 points price, I can't wake up in a work night at 3 a.m. to buy a game item

@mathematics654  It's too bad about the time (I'm UTC-7, so it would be perfect for me).  Of course, you could always go back to sleep afterwards, or wait until the tail end of the deal at 5 am (ugh, not much better).

The other thing you could try is the Make Me an Offer machine.  It will group a bunch of items together at a discount, but it does sometimes list premium content, and worlds too.  The deals aren't as good—typically around 25% off in total.  However, you can roll 5 offers per day, and there's no penalty for turning one down.

It's OK. the 1900 Points isn't that much for me, considering I don't buy base games anymore after I subscribed for Origin Access Premier, so I can have more money on DLCs or Virtual Cash, 25% off isn't make a difference, since I still need to buy the 2040 pack, with the 49% off I could get the 1000 pack, but the second one isn't so much, since I plan on getting only the rollercoaster
