Re: lost add ons for sims 3

this seems to effect everything i bought on origin and was in my origin folder:  70's, Fast Lane, Into the future, movie stuff, outdoor living and town life.  they all show as owned And installed in the ea app.  they, however are Not installed and there is no way to download them on the ea app.

@belleshirley  Just to clarify, when you open your game library, then click Sims 3, then Manage > Manage add-ons, do your packs show as installed?  If not, please post a screenshot of what you do see there.

And if the packs are installed, or you can install them now, do they show up in the launcher's Expansions & Stuff tab or not?  If they're there, you'd simply need to check the boxes next to them in order to get them to load in-game, or uncheck and re-check the boxes if they're already checked.

The reason I keep asking is because there are a few different issues that have similar descriptions but different associated details, and they also have different causes.

i was wrong about them not showing in the launcher.  guess I need new glasses...  anyhow, they show as installed in my game library, they do show in the launcher and Are checked in the launcher -- I didn't see them at first, doh! -- BUT they are not anywhere on my c drive, they are not in the origin folder on my c drive, nor are they in the ea folder on c drive.and from the ea app, there is no option to install them,

also having issues with the launcher -- it won't install any sims 3 packs.  i just get a message that there are no packages to install when I try to install anything.

@belleshirley  If your expansions and stuff packs show up in the launcher, that means they're installed.  Since they're checked off, they should load in-game, but if that's not the case, uncheck and re-check the boxes.

The packs will be installed into the same location as the base game.  This is the default location for an EA App install:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3

Each pack will have its own folder inside "The Sims 3," labeled by pack type and release order, e.g. Seasons was the eighth expansion released, so its folder is EP08.

The "no packages to install" issue has a workaround:
