Re: Mermadic kelp not working on teen sim

I have no idea why but after making 19 different sims (I counted) now it seems to work perfectly after failing to work on young adult sims too for a while. I have no idea what the problem is but it seems to have worked itself out now.

    Hi @lir03,

I'm glad to read you can turn all your sims into mermaids again, even if we don't know where the issue came from! I hope you are enjoying your game again 🙂 Are you creating a mermaids family?

I'm really glad that it is working again. I really love exploring underwater as mermaids. I have a mother and now a teen daughter mermaid, a witch grandmother, and a werewolf father in the family now. :eahigh_file: Hopefully the problem is gone for good so the next family I make will be able to have a mermaid too.

Oh, that's indeed a supernatural family! Which is your favorite creature in The Sims 3?

I also love exploring the ocean with my sims, although for some reason I usually do it with normal Sims. I should make mermaids more often! Have you ever come across a shark?

Oh, I'm always coming across sharks. 😃 Sometimes I get chased around but usually I'm able to just watch them. I've collected a few small ones and put them in the large fish tank. 😛 I've only seen the silhouette of the kraken so far. I'm waiting for him to do something to a boat one day. 🙂

Definitely try a mermaid sim. I usually have the scale color as light to mid purple. It's a lot of fun. Just make sure to harvest a lot of kelp. It's the only way to keep the sim from getting hungry real quickly. 😃

My favorite sim types are mermaid first, witch, and then fairy. 😉 I haven't done much with vampires, werewolves, or genies though. 😳 I also like to keep at least one plumbot around. 😃 Or Bonehilda. 😃 The bots I can customize though. 😉

    Sharks as pets :D

I will definitely try to turn my sim into a mermaid next time I play 😉

My favorite creature in The Sims 3 is the fairy. Besides, it's perfect for when you don't feel like building, with those tiny houses you can buy for them 😉  I have also played quite a lot with genies and plumbots, the different customizations for the bots are also one of my favorites features for them! I usually use my bots to take care of the toddlers and clean the house. I like having big families but toddlers are difficult to take care of when you have three or more :D

Do you have a screenshot of your mermaid sim? I'm curious now 😉

Yeah I have problems with toddlers. But I do like playing as a fairy too. Especially while pranking a sibling or parent. 😃 I've taken an entire lot and put just the fairy house on it too. 😉 It does make it easy but eventually I had to build a house for things like a piano or other things to increase skills. 😛

My original family has already grown old and some have died so I made a new mermaid sim. 😃 I'll try loading some screenshots so you can see. 😉

😃 Thanks for the screenshots! She looks great, and I can see the shark in that first picture! 🤭

    Enjoy the swimming!
