Your graphics drivers are pretty outdated. Try updating them.

Specs are okeyish and I don't think they have anything to do with the error you're seeing. Error Message also very inconclusive.

Can you open the task manager and see what happens when you click play. Does ts3w.exe start and close immediately or does it never start ?

task manager says that the sims is running, but when i go into the window it exits me out

Could you try the following:

Close the game and launcher

Go to the following folder documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ and find a file called options(.ini)

Open the file with a text edior of your choice

Find the following line: fullscreen = 1

Change it to fullscreen = 0

Start the game

The game should now start in windowed mode. See if that works.

that works, but it's REALLY hard to see. if there's anything that i can do about that let me know

Now try lowering all graphics settings and switch back to full windowed mode to see if it works then.

Did you update your drivers ?
