Re: origin update deleted all my progress??

@NovemberRain3273  First of all, please check in OneDrive's Documents folder for any stray Sims 3 data.  If you find your old content, you can move it back to the local version of Documents\Electronic Arts, and the game should read it again.

If there's nothing in OneDrive, you can try searching your computer instead.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter deviceconfig in the search bar in the upper-right corner.  This should turn up any other Sims 3 user folder on your system.  You'll see one deviceconfig.log that's inside the mostly empty Sims 3 folder; if you see another one, click on it and click the "Open file location" menu button, and you'll jump to wherever the file is.  Here again, if you find your saves and other content, just move them back to the relevant folders within Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.
