Well, I guess I lied. Contacted EA this morning and they apparently are not working on the site. When I got ahold of someone who actually gave me time to write 2 sentences before ending the session there was some misunderstandings but it seems they are going to have a specialist look into site issues. I made certain to let them know its not just me and suggested they look at answers hq to see all of your problems as well. I'm to check with them later today to see if issues are being resolved. I suggest all of you contact them as well with individual problems that the folks here haven't been able to help you fix.

Hello all,
The studio is aware of this issue and they are investigating. As a work around could you please try redeeming the code in-game?
Here are the steps on how to do this in game:
SpoilerSteps:
- Launch the Sims 3 client
- Load any game and lot combination
- Click the “Buy Mode” button:
- While in Buy mode, click the “Shop Mode” button (or hit F4) to open the in-game Store:
- In IGS, log in (if not auto-logged in already) to your Sims 3 account:
- After logging in, click the left nav “Account Info & Settings” link:
*Note: you may be asked to log in again after this step.
- After logging in again if needed, on the My Store Account page, expand the “Redeem a Code” module:
- Enter your 16 digit code, confirm the TOS, and click the “Redeem” button:
Thank you for your patience while this being worked on!

The ingame version doesn't work either... when you click on account details it doesn't come up and freezes but all the other pages are fine. Disappointing ☹️

@Fayle174 The in-game version can be a bit slow. It's best to be patient with it and let the pages low for a few minutes before taking the next action.
The studio is still looking into this issue!
- I'm trying to redeem my code from inside the game but there is no tab that says Account Info & Settings.

That tab won't be there unless you log in first, are you logged in? If so, could you take a screenshot for us?

I'm having the same issue. Tried to redeem a code on the website, just kept loading and loading after i input the code, tried the in game option but there is no link to account info. photo is attached.

Could you try @Iconer1's suggestion? It is a good idea. Remember to grant XP to them if it helps 😉

I am having the same issue. Cloner's suggestion is useless because you actually need to be able to click on the account info and settings link after logging in to redeem a code in game. Which the "account info and settings" link is not there. I also can not redeem the other way either.
I just dropped 40 bucks for this game and this does NOT look good that I cant even redeem the code to play it. I am extremely disappointed as it seems this issue has been going on with others on this forum for days now and it has yet to be resolved, and the only suggestion you make is the one that we just stated is not working.
Where can I find the direct number to IT or customer support?

Hi @p3ttygam3rgirl,
Sorry for the confusion, but which is exactly the game you purchased? This redeem a code page is for The Sims 3 Store content, not the base game or expansion/stuff packs.
The Sims 3 base game and its expansion and stuff packs can be registered in one of these pages:
- Origin client - Selecting 'Origin > Redeem a code' in the menu
- Origin website - Selecting 'Add a game' (top right corner in your Game Library)
- EA account page
- The Sims 3 Register a game page
Once you register your game in one of these pages, you will be able to download it through the Origin client.
In case you purchased something that needs to be redeemed in the page that is giving you issues, have you tried to follow lconer1's instructions as I suggested in my last post? That link is sending me directly to the 'Account info and settings tab'. If it helps you, don't forget to give @Iconer1 some XP 😉
