Re: Sims 3 64 bit not connecting

@Fireecakes  It sounds like at some point you signed in, or tried to, at the Main Menu and checked the "Remember me" box.  So the game is automatically trying to sign you in again, which is blocking you from doing anything else in the interim.

It's possible that clearing Safari's cache would get around this on its own.  If not, move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Make sure the game doesn't still try to connect, and if not, quit and move your saves and other content from the old Sims 3 folder to the new one.

You don't want to move all the files—that would include the file that's presumably causing the issue—just your saves and anything else you'd like to keep.  Here's a description of everything in your user folder:

Thank you so so much! I have been researching this issue for a while and just now found this community.

Clearing the cache didn’t work, but placing a new folder onto the desktop did. I super appreciate your help in getting my favorite game back up and running! 🙂
